Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a type of alternative medicine that emphasizes manual readjustments, myofascial release and other physical manipulation of muscle tissue and bones. It is a client centered approach to health and wellness that is holistic in nature. The body is a self-regulating, functional unit in which function and structure are inter-related, and healthy tissues require proper circulation of all body fluids.

Skilled palpation and a detailed knowledge of anatomy, physiology and biomechanics guide the osteopath to assess and restore balance within and between all the systems of the body; musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, neurological, cranial and visceral. The goals is to create and maintain balance within the body. Using a  wide array of manual approaches the clinician helps the body resolve strains, stress and other dysfunction.
